Finished

1 year and 726 pages later
(large pages and small print)
I have finally finished

The Count of Monte Cristo

by Alexandre Dumas
but to my credit, I read many books in between the dear Count
14 to be exact (I think)
It has been quite a work in progress, what will I do with myself now?

And yes, I enjoyed it very much...
I just assumed you would know that by the speed at which I gobbled it up;)

  1. That is hilarious! Jack and I have just started reading that together at night before we go to bed. I am thinking we will finish it when our kids have graduated from high school. :)

  2. That is one great book--until the fourth revenge (the poisoning bit) and then it was maybe over the top. But notwithstanding still one of my favorite books of all time.

  3. agreed. I hated that the vengeance had to affect so many other people, but at least he recognized that (in the case of the poisoning) he had crossed the boundaries and could no longer say "God is for and with me".
