Snow Day #4

Everyone talks about the storm of '78 that killed over a hundred people and made the easiest form of transportation skiing through the streets. It was the first week of February, and hopefully this year won't be a repeat. This is the 4th day school has been canceled within 3 weeks. I think that's more than I had in all of elementary school in Utah.

At this rate,
said one of my 3rd graders at work, we'll be in school until August.

I'd like to say they are snow wimps (because 3 of those 4 days were quite lovely actually), but I can't deny the fact that I've been enjoying these days off.

Even Taylor got to stay home.

I gave him a haircut, we went on a walk (which is honestly the most frustrating these days because I can't go anywhere for too long because my bladder is the size of a peanut), we watched the documentary Food Inc., and a National Geographic series on prisons called Lockdown- so fascinating!

All of this fun still can't compete with some lovely spring weather, which I hope isn't too far away.

  2. So true!! Jolie has literally had a snow day EVERY single time it has snowed (not that I'm complaining). My sister's kids, on the other hand, have been going to school in Utah for 6 years and have never had one. She says it's the pioneer heritage.

  3. I Love snow days! In VA if it snowed at all even less than an inch the whole city shut down.
